The paintball gun also known as the paintball marker is the main essential bit of equipment that you need for paintball. Paintballing is a growing sport that has become professional in the last few years. It was originally conceived by two friends who were discussing big game hunting. A paintball gun uses some form of compressed gas to propel the paintball from the muzzle. The best paintball guns for beginners are paintball gun packages. This means that you buy the paintball gun with the other essential equipment. With these paintball gun packages you are only going to get a cheap paintball gun, but that will do you as a beginner. Only start to invest in better paintball guns when you have decided that you love the sport and you want to get involved in it more.

The paintball gun that you buy will all depend on your level of ability. As I said before just start out with a basic paintball gun and then move up as your interest in the sport increases. There's no point in going out and buying the top of the range gun if you are not going to become involved in the sport in a big way.

They are the basic one-shot paintball guns that not many people use anymore. Then there are the semiautomatic guns which can fire with motorized loaders and autocockers. Now there are a full range of electronic guns that can be programmed. The paintball guns that are available today can be fired so fast that they have to be restricted during tournaments to prevent an unfair advantage.
